Tiramisu

It's quite funny actually. While enjoying a heavenly slice of tiramisu cake this morning, (yes, I eat cake in the morning) I thought about men; their general character, to be more precise. Like a tiramisu cake covered with bitter coco on top, their exterior can often be described as dark and brooding. But, after digging in to the deeper layers, one discovers a sweeter, lighter filling.

Want what you can't have.

Would you settle for the bad boy who will not cuddle you after a very fun night in bed, on the floor, against the window overlooking central downtown, on the balcony, and the list goes on? Or, for the good boy who will make you feel safe, secure, and cuddle you while his arm falls asleep because of the weight of your head on it? And, is there such a person that has both of these combined, bad and good boy characteristics that i find myself bouncing from and to every changing day? Having both of these men in my life, it is that much more difficult to stick to one and ignore the other completely, especially on those days when you need a certain one more. Last night, for instance, it was the bad boy, being very good at being bad, and even making me stay over the whole night, which i would have if the snoring was tolerable. Tomorrow night it will be the good boy, sweeping me off my feet with flowers and picking me up all dressed up for a night out on the town, filled with dining and dancing. With the good boy you can be your self, more or less, and talk about your feelings, families, and friends. With the bad boy, the less talking the better. Firstly, to save precious time that can be spent on pleasures you both crave a little too much, and secondly, because he does not have much interesting to say, or anything you would want to actually listen to with genuine enthusiasm. Oh the decisions, the decisions to be made. I wish i could keep them both, without any contracts, any long term fees and consequences. Unfortunately, life is not as peachy as we would all like it to be, and me having both of them in my life in such an intimate way, is not healthy, mostly for me, since they do not know the other exists.

Needless to say, a decision must be made ladies and gentlemen. Any suggestions?

When love throws u questions....go Fashion!

If love is realizing that you can not live without a person, what happens when you are not together anymore and you realize that you are still alive? *gasp* Does it mean that you never loved them in the first place?
But then, what should those of us who believe they have loved expect? To fall dead, or be so completely heart broken that we lose the will to be happy and move on with our lives? Is this not what fairy tales gone bad are made of?
When you are in a relationship with someone and they make you so happy that you tell yourself you will not be able to live without them because they almost make your life what it is, how do you go on after you two are not together? Especially when you realize that you can breathe and obviously live without this person just fine? Does this mean you never loved them in the first place, even though you were so sure this was the real deal when you two were together? Were you a fool in love? Or, were you just fooled that what you had was love?
Please don't hesitate to leave your opinions, they are greatly appreciated :)

NOW!!! Onto more fun things that do not involve me scratching my head and thinking where I went wrong...
If you are in the mood to wear something simple, defined, and classic, go to Lauren Conrad. (Spring 2009 collection below)

This dress is perfection. The cut, the lenght, the colour. Pure love.
This is what you call "super cute" but it is too short I think, except for the beach of course.
Gorgeous classic dress! Love the navy colour, the cut, and the scoop at the top.

However, if you are in the mood for something edgy, extra, shiny, new, and striped, go to Dolce and Gabbana. (Spring 2009 collection below)

Amazing top...don't know a lot of people who could easily pull off those pants, they look pretty tricky.
Love the high waisted shorts!
This dress screams extra to me!!!
Love classic white and black combo, the striped bring something new to the table.

Love and Fashion on the brain.

Love is hard to define. It has no boundaries, no fears. It is complicated, crazy, and frustrating. But when do we know that its for real? When we can't fall asleep because we are consumed with thoughts of him/her? When he/she pops is the first thing that pops into our heads when we wake up and the last thing that is on our minds when we fall asleep? Or is it when we feel as if we cannot possibly live without this person in our lives and by our side?

Well....been there, done that, is one thing i can say with certainty!

If we think we love someone, can we be completely head over heels over him/her one day and not be impressed at all with them the next day? I hope wish to believe so! (Because if it is not true then i am in a little pickle my friends.)

NOW!!!!

Speaking of LOVE! I love MK Olsen's outfits and i know that is a love that will last a very very long time!

Where is the drama!!!

I am strange. When absolutely nothing is wrong in a relationship, i feel as if something is not right. But why??? Can i not just realise that maybe this is the way relationships need to be, that not all of them have to have something wrong with them? God! Perhaps it is the constant brainwashing that "nothing and no one is perfect" so deeply installed in my head, that i cannot accept the fact that maybe nothing is wrong. Maybe this relationship is perfect. Maybe i am yearning for something to be wrong because i feel it is the norm. Because in the past, not one of my relationships have been perfect, and usually when they have been i felt as if they were not real, and usually gave up on them. This is sad to admit, but i feel as if i need something to be off in order for me to feel as if the relationship is going in the right direction. Am i just addicted to drama in my life? Which i have been exposed to for waaaay too long. Or is this finally the time in my life when i can be in a long term relationship, head over heels in love, not caring about getting hurt, giving myself completely to someone, and never thinking twice about it? But am i capable of doing that at such a tender age of 20? Good question.

So...

Just yesterday I had a conversation with one of my dear male friends, who shall not be named, perhaps later.

The topic=
Finding true love/"the one"

The response from both parties=
He: At 25 does not believe there is such a thing as true love. He has been cheated on plenty of times before and feels that the women out there are all the same (see Samantha in Sex and the City.) From then on he has always cheated on all of his girlfriends. He says he is incorrectable, but i beg to differ. He is currently with another girl, and he says he really likes her but that "his eye still seems to wander". BUT WHY? He says this girl is the "coolest chick he's ever met" so what's with all the eye wandering damn it! It is sad because he feels he cannot change the way he is, that he will always feel this way towards women. He believes that when people get to a certain age, they think "oh, it's about time I settle down" and whoever they are dating at the time or whoever comes next, they marry.

Me: I tried to be optimistic but it is hard when he is such a realist and when I am trying so hard to ignore that side of myself.

In the end, I have come to the conclusion that people can change, and will change, but only if they really want to, and feel that they need to, in order to better their lives.
