Sex....and the City

How much longer do we all faithful Sex and the City addicts have to wait for the movie to come out, the anticipation is killing me!
But for now, to quench the thirst, here are some shots from the set of the film.

I'm in love with her sunglasses!

Oh the shoes!!!

Me and dresses = a lethal combination/an obsession, and thats putting it lightly

This is a dress i bought a few months ago at Limited, it was only $30!!! Im in love with it.

This is it from the front
It looks sooo nice on tanned skin :D...too bad im not that dark anymore, but im trying to resist the tanning bed due to possible cancer development :(

P.S. I am super excited for the Monday coming up because Mel B from the Spice Girls is gona be hosting at a club and Im gona party it up with her...woohoo. HAHA i dont know why but i just felt the need to share that little bit, and im gona try to take lots of pics with her to post here!!!

Trust me and I will trust you

Why is it so hard to trust people?
Ok, i can guess what u are think...that it is because your trust has been broken by many in the past and hence you expect it to happen again in the future.
But, would it not be nice if we could forgive and forget, as we should.
And what about the people who have not broken our trust and have not done anything that hurt us. Why are we so quick to assert that they will too, follow the pattern of many previous and current trust breakers?
Can't we simply have faith and TRUST in the idea that maybe, just maybe, this person will not hurt us, or will not break the trust we have established with him or her?
Because, ladies and gents, not every single person we know has or will hurt us. There are very few people we meet in our lives that will not do this, simply because they love us that much, and do not want to find out what will happen if they ever do hurt us. Simply put, they do not want to hurt us nor lose us. Trust me.

Sex talk

I refuse to believe that all men that start random converstaions with women just have one thing on their minds...sex.

Maybe I am in denial, but maybe, just maybe, not all men have just sex on their minds.

It is true that we are sexual beings, and that we have animal instincts and attraction, but perhaps it is not something we constrantly think about and want, even when talking to strangers who we just met.

Can we not have educational, interesting, and intelligent conversations without the question of sex looming over our university graduate heads?

It cannot be so that every time a male approaches a female at a public spot, that all he has on his mind is the possibilty of fu*king her, and that this is all that he wants from her. That it is his final destination and the whole purpose of him approaching her in the first place.

Why is it so hard to believe that maybe a male approaches a female because she looks interesting and intelligent and he just wants to have a lively conversation with her about something, anything, it doesn't have to be something in particular.

Am I simply trying to ignore the truth, that a man will never appoach a woman with the goal of just having an innocent discussion with her?

Pehaps, but I still refuse to believe that completely.

Just yesterday I had a conversation with one of my dear male friends, who shall not be named, perhaps later.

The topic=
Finding true love/"the one"

The response from both parties=
He: At 25 does not believe there is such a thing as true love. He has been cheated on plenty of times before and feels that the women out there are all the same (see Samantha in Sex and the City.) From then on he has always cheated on all of his girlfriends. He says he is incorrectable, but i beg to differ. He is currently with another girl, and he says he really likes her but that "his eye still seems to wander". BUT WHY? He says this girl is the "coolest chick he's ever met" so what's with all the eye wandering damn it! It is sad because he feels he cannot change the way he is, that he will always feel this way towards women. He believes that when people get to a certain age, they think "oh, it's about time I settle down" and whoever they are dating at the time or whoever comes next, they marry.

Me: I tried to be optimistic but it is hard when he is such a realist and when I am trying so hard to ignore that side of myself.

In the end, I have come to the conclusion that people can change, and will change, but only if they really want to, and feel that they need to, in order to better their lives.

Well, well, well, my very first post, I have to admit it is a little exciting.

I would like to formally introduce myself.

My name is Maria, but I like to go by Masha, which is my Russian name.

I am 20 years old.

I was born in Russia and later moved to Canada.

I currently reside in Toronto, Canada and attent York University.

I lead a very fun, and at times quite a promiscuous life, and always have interesting conversations with people I know, and sometimes don't.

This is the main reason why I wanted to start this blog.

To share my wisdom with the world, HAHAHAHA, im only kidding.

But, I do think that my life can be quite interesting, although it is borring at times, and yes I will try to only post the interesting bits and pieces to releive you of the boredom that visits all of us so frequently.

Well, I guess that is the introduction to myself.
